Citizen Beach - On Vacation this Week!

This week, I'm on vacation so there won't be a newsletter. This is just a short comment (that ilm writing on my phone) that I have to publish because its been a HUGE week for CITIZEN POWER in two out of three of our municipalities:

St Pete Beach: The people’s candidate, Lisa Robinson, wins the District 2 Commissioner’s race in a LANDSLIDE! Congrats Lisa!!! 👏👏👏👏

Treasure Island: The massive “Elevate TI” program that would have cost hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars over the course of decades, was soundly defeated! The program was pushed HARD by the City Staff and mayor, but over 70 citizens showed up at the meeting, cramming the Commission chambers and overflow space — and most of the commissioners made the right call and voted to kill the proposal. 👏👏👏👏

Congrats to Lisa and to Citizen engagement and activation. Remember, it's OUR government. We vote them in to represent US, the people. ❤️
